Ceramic Coatings

A liquid coating that bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, slick surface. Water sheets off, dirt struggles to stick, and the finish keeps its depth instead of dulling. We apply FEYNLAB ceramic coating.

Why coat it

What a coating
actually changes.

Water sheets off

The surface turns hydrophobic, so rain and hose water bead up and carry dirt with them instead of drying on in spots.

Resists what lands on it

Bird droppings, bug splatter and tree sap sit on the coating rather than going straight at your clear coat.

Holds off the sun

Valley summers are hard on paint. The coating takes the UV load that otherwise fades and oxidizes the finish.

Keeps its depth

It cures into a hard, glassy layer that holds the gloss, so the paint keeps looking wet instead of going flat.

Every coating we install starts with paint correction — machine polishing to take out swirls and scratches first, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. How much correction your paint needs is the main thing that moves the price, along with the size of the vehicle. Call (559) 734-2378 and we will quote your exact vehicle.

Coating or film

Two ways to
protect paint.

These get compared constantly, but they do different jobs, and plenty of cars end up with both. Coating handles the chemistry; film takes the physical hits. Here is where they overlap and where they don’t.

The honest math

Is it worth it?

A coating will not stop a rock chip. Nothing liquid will. What it does is take the slow damage: the UV, the sap, the water spots, the swirl marks that come from washing a car for years. If the finish still matters to you in five years, that is the damage worth heading off.

Common questions

Ceramic coatings,
answered.

How much does a ceramic coating cost?

It comes down to the size of the vehicle, how much of it you are coating, and the condition of the paint going in. Bring us the year, make and model and we will quote it properly rather than guess.

Does the paint need to be corrected first?

Usually, yes, at least partly. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, including swirls and light scratches, so anything you want gone needs to come out before it goes on. We will tell you what your paint actually needs.

Will a coating stop rock chips?

No, and anyone telling you otherwise is overselling it. A coating is a chemical layer, not a physical barrier. If rock chips are the worry, that is what paint protection film is for, and the two are often done together.

Do I still need to wash the car?

Yes, just far less painfully. Dirt has a harder time bonding and most of it comes off with a rinse. What a coating removes is the scrubbing, not the washing.

How long does it last?

That depends on the tier, how the car is stored, and how it is maintained. We will be straight with you about the realistic service life for your vehicle before you commit to a level.

Can it go on a brand new car?

That is the ideal time. The paint is at its best, so there is less correction to do first, and the coating goes on protecting a finish that has not been through anything yet.
