Paint Protection Film

A clear, self-healing film applied over your paint. It takes the rock chips, scratches and road debris so your finish doesn’t have to, and it stays invisible while doing it. We install STEK and PURE PPF.

Why film

What it actually
does for your paint.

Self healing

Light swirls and wash marks close back up on their own. Warmth from the sun or a heat gun is enough to make them disappear.

Takes the hit

Rock chips, gravel and road debris land on the film instead of your clear coat. It is the strongest paint protection we install.

Stays glossy

The film locks in the finish your paint left the factory with, and keeps it looking that way instead of dulling with age.

10-year warranty

Every install carries a 10-year warranty: our own coverage on the installation, plus the manufacturer's coverage on the film itself.

Film goes where the damage happens. How far you take it is up to you and your budget. Here is what each level covers.

Film or coating

Two ways to
protect paint.

These get compared constantly, but they do different jobs, and plenty of cars end up with both. Film takes the physical hits; coating handles the chemistry. Here is where they overlap and where they don’t.

The honest math

Is it worth it?

Stone chips are not an if, they are a when. Repainting a bumper properly is not a cheap job, and a repaint never quite matches the factory finish the way the original panel did. Film is the cheaper end of that trade: it takes the damage, keeps the paint underneath original, and comes off cleanly when it has done its job.

Same idea, different glass

Windshield
protection film.

A clear film that goes on the outside of your windshield to take rock chips before the glass does. Very similar to paint protection film, just built for glass instead of paint.

Worth considering if you have just had a windshield replaced, or if you spend a lot of time on the freeway where chips are a matter of when rather than if.

3–4 yearsExpected service life

Different product, different coverage: our 10-year PPF warranty applies to paint protection film, not to windshield film.

Common questions

Windshield replacement,
answered.

How much does paint protection film cost?

It depends entirely on the vehicle and how much of it you cover. A partial front on a compact is a very different job from a full body on a truck. Bring us the year, make and model and we’ll quote it properly rather than guess.

PPF or ceramic coating: which do I need?

They do different jobs. Film is a physical layer that absorbs rock chips and scratches; ceramic is a chemical sealant that protects the finish and makes the car easier to keep clean. Plenty of customers do both, film where impact is likely and coating over the rest.

Will you be able to see the film on my paint?

It’s designed not to be seen. Edges are wrapped where the panel allows so there’s no visible line, and the film is clear. The goal is that the car just looks like it has very good paint.

How long does the install take?

It varies by package and vehicle. A partial front is a much shorter job than a full body. We’ll tell you the realistic turnaround for your specific car when we quote it.

Does the film come off later without damaging the paint?

That’s the point of it. Quality film is made to be removed by a professional without taking your clear coat with it, which is exactly why the paint underneath stays original.

Is it covered by a warranty?

Yes. Every PPF install comes with a 10-year warranty, split into two parts. Our installation warranty covers install-related issues like lifting or peeling. The manufacturer warranty covers bubbling, delamination, yellowing and cracking, subject to their terms. We’ll walk you through both before any work starts.
